Fashion Product Development: From Design Idea to Physical Sample

Our design and development service covers everything you need to turn your design ideas into real garments. From design and techpack creation to patterns development, materials sourcing, cutting, and final sample manufacturing. Just share your idea, and we'll bring it to life as soon as possible.

Get a Sample in three steps

1. AI Powered Design

We can assist you in designing your clothes, beginning with trend analysis and customizing designs to your preferences, while ensuring their feasibility for production. By the end of this process, we will have developed a clear set of design ideas to move forward with

2. Digital Validation

In this stage, we create 3D models of the design ideas. Using these digital samples, we can simulate different fabrics and colors and also check the fit of the garment, allowing us to make real-time adjustments to the design. This technology enables us to work up to 8-10 times faster than traditional manufacturers.

3. Manufacturing

After the digital samples are approved, we create physical samples that are identical to the future production garments. These samples allow for final validations to be made, including production cost estimations. If the raw materials are sourced, the physical samples can be completed in less than 24 hours.

We can start from your ideas or from scratch

Your ideas

If you have specific needs or product references, we can start working from tech packs, sketches, or even product photos. By the end of this stage, we will have clear design ideas that we can move forward to the 3D modeling stage.

Faster validation through Digital Samples

Normally, a physical sample can take 2-4 weeks to create. The materials sourcing stage is what usually takes the most time. However, if a physical sample is made, shipped to your destination, and changes are suggested, the process would need to start from zero, which is the main reason why design approvals can take up to 4-6 months. To solve this issue, we use 3D clothing technology, which allows us to make design changes in real-time, validate different fabrics and colors, and even test the fit of each garment before cutting any fabric. With digital sampling, we can reduce the design approval time to just a few days, allowing you to test different ideas in a 100% sustainable way.

Fashion Product Development: Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the product development process take?

3D digital samples are delivered in approximately 3 days. Physical samples take 7–14 business days. Full collection development — from concept to approved sample — typically takes 4 to 8 weeks depending on the number of styles and their complexity.

What do I need to provide to get started?

You can start with as little as a rough sketch, reference photos, or a concept description. Our team handles pattern making, technical sheets, and material sourcing. The more detail you provide, the faster we can move.

What’s the difference between a 3D sample and a physical sample?

A 3D digital sample is a photorealistic render of your garment created in our design software — ideal for fast, remote approval before investing in physical production. A physical sample is the actual sewn garment made with real materials, which allows you to evaluate fit, fabric feel, and construction quality.

How much does product development cost?

Development costs typically range from USD $100 to $350 per design, depending on garment complexity. This includes pattern making, a technical production sheet, and one physical sample. Pricing is confirmed after an initial brief review.

Can I move directly into manufacturing after approving the sample?

Yes. Once your sample is approved, we move directly into production planning. Our minimum order quantity starts at 50 units per style, with production lead times of 30–45 business days.

Can you develop a garment from scratch if I don’t have a design?

Absolutely. Our design team can start from a creative brief, trend research, or inspiration images to develop entirely new garment concepts. We also use AI-powered tools to accelerate the design exploration phase and show you multiple variations before committing to a sample.
