A cut and sew manufacturer builds a garment from raw fabric: each panel is cut from a pattern and sewn into a finished piece, rather than printed onto ready-made blanks. GAT does true cut and sew for fashion brands: we develop the pattern, cut, sew, audit and deliver your own product, from your reference or your tech pack.

True cut and sew, not blanks.

If you've been quoted "cut and sew" that turns out to be printing on pre-made blanks, this is different.

True cut and sew means your garment is built from the fabric up: your pattern, your fabric, your construction, not a generic tee with your logo on it. We don't sell blanks or white-label catalog pieces, we make your own product, made to spec.

Come with a finished pattern or tech pack and we cut and sew straight from it. Come with a reference or just an idea and we develop the pattern first.

Our sample room: your sample maker.

Every project starts in our in-house sample room. Before any production run, we make one physical sample so you can see, touch and approve your garment for real.

We draft your pattern digitally in Optitex, select fabric and trims, run process tests (prints, embroidery) and sew the first real piece. You approve the fabrics and trims, the process tests and the fit of the sample by photo, in writing over email or WhatsApp, wherever you are.

Sample development usually takes 2 to 8 weeks and includes up to two minor adjustments at no extra cost. The digital pattern we build is yours once the service is paid in full.

From approved sample to production.

Nothing goes to production until you've approved the physical sample. That sample becomes the standard every unit is measured against.

Once you approve it, a production run usually takes 30 to 45 business days. What moves the schedule most is fabric sourcing: on hand, it's days. If we have to source it, it can add weeks. When a project has called for it we've delivered demanding orders (for example, 5,000 garments in under 28 days).

We quote EXW from our facilities in Colombia, or DDP (duties paid, to your door) when we agree on it. For US-based brands, our export arm GAT International LLC (Florida) makes paying easy: you pay in USD by local bank transfer or Zelle, without the friction of an international wire. It isn't a US factory, every garment is made in Colombia.

Low minimums stay low: 100 to 300 per style is the recommended range for the best efficiency and costs, and when you need more we produce thousands of units per style. Need short runs made to your own spec? That's custom clothing manufacturing.

What we make, and what we don't.

We specialize in lightweight wovens and knits: fashion-forward tops and easy-fitting styles for women and men.

We make

Tops: t-shirts, polos, shirts, blouses, hoodies, sweatshirts, crop tops, bodysuits, tank tops. Bottoms: tailored and wide-leg trousers, skirts, shorts, joggers, sweatpants, cargos. One-piece and more: dresses, jumpsuits, rompers and loungewear, for women, men, unisex and kids. We personalize everything to spec: screen printing, DTF, high-density print, sublimation and embroidery, plus woven labels, hangtags and branded trims.

We don't make

Denim, swimwear, knit sweaters, leather, structured tailoring and blazers, underwear, shapewear and compression, and babywear (0 to 2). Tell us your garment and we'll tell you honestly whether it's for us: a straight answer beats a wasted month.

Made close, at low minimums.

For over 20 years we've manufactured for recognized brands in Colombia and abroad, including author-label collections for a US-based design brand, with quality control at every step.

We've produced for Studio F, Ela, Arturo Calle Woman, Tennis, TERS Apparel, Pink Rose, América de Cali and Monastery.

Daniel González designs in the US: we source fabric globally, build his samples in Colombia, ship them for his approval, and deliver the finished production DDP at his door. He focuses on design and sales, we're his ally for development and production.

Cut and sew, your questions answered.

What's the minimum order for cut and sew?+
We cut and sew from 36 units per style and color. 100 to 300 is the recommended range for the best efficiency and costs, and when you need more we produce thousands of units per style. For t-shirts the minimum depends on the technique: DTF allows fewer, while screen printing or embroidery push it toward 100 per style and color.
Do I need a pattern or tech pack to start?+
No. If you already have a tested pattern or tech pack, we cut and sew straight from it, starting from a counter-sample you approve to lock the quality standard. If you only have a reference or an idea, we develop the pattern, sample and tech pack first. Either way, nothing goes to production without a sample you approve.
How long does cut and sew take?+
It depends on the project: sample development usually takes 2 to 8 weeks and a production run 30 to 45 business days. Fabric sourcing moves the schedule most. Every project has its own timeline, and when a project has required it we've delivered demanding orders (for example, 5,000 garments in under 28 days).
Do you do print-on-demand or sell blanks?+
No. We don't sell blanks or white-label catalog pieces. We do true cut and sew: your own garment, built from the fabric up to your spec, with your fit, fabric and finish. If you want your own product rather than a generic blank with a logo, that's exactly what we do.
Are you a nearshore alternative to Asia?+
Yes, for brands selling in the US. We're in Colombia: same time zone, same working hours and a shared way of communicating, so you iterate samples directly and get answers the same day, without opaque chains. The advantage is communication and closeness, not a race to the lowest price.
